The whole design is printed with a visible looped-yarn texture, so from across the room it reads like a hand-hooked rug. Up close you get a soft, low-pile surface instead of bumpy loops, which is kinder to bare feet.

Inside it, simple folk stars dot the navy sky and “Home for Christmas” arches across the upper middle in chunky cream serif letters. Our designers then prepare the final artwork from your original photo and check it by hand, from the yarn-look fur to the spelling of the name, before anything is printed.

Every rug is made to order. Production takes 3–5 business days, and most orders arrive in about 8–12 business days. Free standard shipping on every US order. For Christmas, order at least three weeks before you need it, and earlier in December. If your rug arrives damaged or misprinted, we remake it or refund you; see our returns and refunds policy.

Photo tips for a sitting portrait

Your cat sits upright and faces forward in this scene, so the best photo shows the whole cat sitting, with the paws and tail in the frame. Take it at your cat’s eye level in soft daylight. The yarn-look effect simplifies very fine detail, so clear markings matter more than a perfect background: a tabby’s “M” and a white bib carry through beautifully.
