Custom Cat Ornament Styles, From First Christmas to Most Wanted
Every cat who has ever batted a bauble off a low branch deserves a spot on the tree that is officially theirs. Each design starts with a real photo of your cat, and most add the name and the year, so the ornaments become a little timeline of your life together.
- The classic cut-out: the Personalized Cat Photo Ornament cuts clear acrylic to your cat's own outline, adds a tiny illustrated Santa hat and finishes with a curved banner for the name and year. It is the simplest cat photo ornament we make, and often the most recognizable.
- A first Christmas: for a kitten first Christmas ornament, the Kitten First Christmas Mitten Ornament tucks your new kitten into an oversized sage-green knitted mitten, with "My First Christmas", the name and the year on the cuff. How a Personalized Cat Ornament Is Made
- Upload a photo. Choose a design and add a photo of your cat; for multi-cat designs, one photo per cat, up to 6 photos per item.
- See a free AI preview. It is an illustration only, to show the design idea with your cat.
- Our designers take it from there. They prepare the final artwork from your original photo and check it by hand, so the markings and eye color match your cat.
- Made to order. Production takes 3–5 business days, and most orders arrive within 8–12 business days.
Free standard shipping on every US order. Ornaments are mostly a December gift, so order at least three weeks before you need them, and earlier in December.
Acrylic, Porcelain or Wood: Choosing Your Ornament
- Acrylic cut-out, about 4" tall: clear acrylic, laser-cut to follow your cat's outline (or the design's shape, like the mitten or the truck), printed in full color with a thin white backing layer and hung on a satin ribbon loop.
- Round porcelain, 3": a flat white disc with a glossy glaze, printed on the front, with a small gold cap and a red-and-white baker's-twine loop.
- Porcelain heart, 3": the same glossy porcelain in a heart shape, with a gold cap and a thin satin ribbon (red or gold, depending on the design).
- Wood slice, about 3.5" round: natural wood with a visible bark edge and tree rings, the design printed straight onto the wood so the grain shows through, on a jute twine loop. The Rustic Woodburned Cat Portrait Ornament uses sepia tones so it looks like pyrography.
For a cut-out custom cat ornament, the whole cat should be in the photo, tail included, because the shape follows your cat. For round, heart and wood designs, a sharp face with both ears in frame is enough. Our photo guidelines have more tips.

Yes. The Folk Fence Multi Cat Wood Ornament fits two to four cats and the Cat Family Vintage Truck Ornament up to three; most of our designs fit one to four cats. Upload a separate photo of each cat, up to 6 photos per item, for the cleanest result.
When should I order ornaments for Christmas?
Order at least three weeks before you need it, and earlier in December, when carriers are busiest. Each ornament is made to order: production takes 3–5 business days, and most orders arrive within 8–12 business days. Ordering in November leaves time to fix a typo or swap a photo.
What are the ornaments made of?
We make four kinds: clear acrylic cut-outs about 4 inches tall, 3-inch round porcelain discs, 3-inch porcelain hearts and natural wood slices about 3.5 inches across with the bark edge. Each design is made in one of these, as shown on its product page.
Can I add my cat's name and the year?
Most designs include the name, and many add the year or a short line such as "My First Christmas". We print exactly what you type, so check the spelling of every name, especially on family designs with several cats.
Which photo works best for a cut-out ornament?
One where your whole cat is visible, ears, paws and tail included, because the acrylic is cut around your cat's outline. Choose a sharp photo in soft daylight with a plain background if you have one. We don't invent ears, paws or tails that aren't in the photo.
What if my ornament arrives broken?
Email us within 30 days of delivery with your order number and photos of the ornament and the box. If it arrived damaged or misprinted, we remake it or refund you, and you don't need to send it back.
