This valentine cat garden flag tells every delivery driver who really runs the house. The design: a cupid cat on a vintage valentine

The vertical flag is pale pink with a white lace-doily border printed around all four edges, like a 1950s valentine card blown up to porch size. “Love Lives Here” fills the top in a plump retro script in valentine red with a white outline, big enough to read from the sidewalk.

Your cat stands in the center, about half the height of the flag, with small white feathered cupid wings spread on either side and a little golden bow drawn back with a heart-tipped arrow. Floating red hearts and little white daisies with yellow centers drift around the cat. At the bottom, a red heart-shaped banner carries your family name in a white rounded serif. Our example reads “The Nguyens & Peaches” – you add your own family and cat names. The wings and bow are part of the artwork; your cat only has to supply the face.

Photo tips for a cupid

A full-body photo of your cat standing or sitting tall works best, with the head turned toward the camera and both eyes sharp. Ears, paws and tail should all be in the frame. A flag is read from the sidewalk, so choose a bright, high-contrast photo rather than a dim indoor one; big ears and expressive eyes, like our example Sphynx’s, carry well at a distance.
