This custom cat calendar is built on the one thing every cat agrees on: the window is the best seat in the house. Each month your cat sits on a different sill and watches a different season go by, and you get to watch along with it, one page at a time.

The design: twelve windows, twelve seasons

Each month is a soft watercolor window that fills most of the page, with your cat on the sill in the lower third, sometimes gazing out at the view, sometimes turned toward you. January is a frosty farmhouse pane with snow, February a café window with a heart drawn in the steam, March a rain-streaked sash window, April a cottage window with cherry blossoms outside, May an arched window over a vegetable garden and June a seaside window with sailboats. July brings city fireworks far away, August a sunflower field, September a library window with falling leaves, October a cabin window with pumpkins on the porch, November a rainy-afternoon bay window with a knit blanket, and December a snowy window with a wreath and distant village lights.

The month name is painted in small serif capitals on the front edge of each sill, and the palette stays gentle: window white, watercolor sky blue, sage, blush and golden-hour amber. The cover shows your cat in a round attic window, with “A Year at the Window” arched above and your cat’s name and “Cat Mom” with the year below. Each custom cat calendar is made to order. Production takes 3–5 business days, and the typical total from order to delivery is 8–12 business days. Free standard shipping on every US order. For Christmas, order at least three weeks before you need it, and earlier in December. If it arrives damaged or misprinted, we remake it or refund you; see returns and refunds.

Photo tips for window watching

Include a photo of your cat from behind or in profile, since many months show it gazing out, plus one or two facing the camera. Sitting and loafing poses suit a windowsill best. Soft daylight keeps coat colors true, but skip photos taken against a bright window, which turn your cat into a dark silhouette with no markings. More advice is in our photo guidelines.
